I had so much fun on this project! Emily asked if I would be available to do a spring baby shower. Two of my favorite things...babies and spring. How could I resist?!
She had seen the champagne raspberry (white with pink sugar dots and white daisies) on our website and found the baby birds online here and asked if it was something I could recreate. Never one to turn down a creative challenge, I enthusiastically said yes! We took the baby bird cupcakes a little further and created an almond joy (based off the popular candy by the same name). The parents-to-be are leaving the sex of the child as a surprise (I know, kudos to them, I don't think I could wait!) so we mixed a little blue and a little pink and swaddled it up with a lot of flavor. (get it swaddled - babies...you see where I'm going with this)
I had the pleasure of meeting mom/dad-to-be as well as their first born (a very energetic little boy!) when I dropped off their treats. Creating something that people eat and enjoy is kind of an intimate experience, so being able to meet the guests of honor always helps me feel like a project is complete.
It was a beautiful spring day to shower a beautiful mom-to-be!
God bless you, your family and your future little one!
Enjoy the Sweet Things,
Tortina and Vino
